The Bathing Suit Torso

This hand built ceramic piece uses a unique process where I press antique and contemporary textures into clay. The bathing suit is comprised of textures, and the body is flat slabs of clay artfully arranged. The surface is hand painted with thinned out colored clay which allows for color to be imbedded in the surface. Another layer of color is added through the use of various glazes.
